Eras risa de estrellas
cayendo como hielo
sobre un océano de planetas
.
Girabas en órbitas pequeñas
como bailarina de vals
alrededor de una roca sin nombre
.
Entonces
en mi contemplación
nació un planeta,
comenzó a latir un corazón
y una nube de hidrógeno
se disolvió
elevándome con ella
hasta que me evaporé
en forma de gotitas de agua salada
.
Al hacerme agua cambió
mi timbre de voz,
un grito dijo mi antiguo nombre
y mis canciones son diferentes ahora:
sordas desde el fondo del mar
y cuando llama la Luna
aprendo los pasos de su danza
